Emily and Colin were married on August 1st with a ceremony and reception at Wentworth by the Sea Marriott in New Castle, NH. They had met at a wedding over 4 years ago, and were so both excited to be able to have their own wedding to complete this part of their amazing fairy tale!
To start off the day, Emily’s mother and her 90-year-old grandmother joined her while she was getting ready. Her grandmother got so choked up telling her how gorgeous she was and how proud she was—it was such a sweet moment!
They chose to do their first look out on the dock below the Wentworth, and it was so perfect! It was a beautiful day, and the clouds even gave us some ideal shade. I just loved Emily’s reaction when she saw her husband-to-be for the first time!
I love how Emily and Colin incorporated some Jewish traditions into the ceremony since Emily is Jewish. Both a cantor and a priest married the couple as they stood underneath a beautiful Chuppah. Then Colin broke the glass at the end of the ceremony. The reception was kicked off by the Horah, which is always a blast to photograph!
Emily and Colin then had a beautifully choreographed first dance that blew everyone away! The icing on the cake was the perfectly executed dip at the end!
Colin’s brother, Kyle, had an amazing best man speech planned out as well. No one knew what to expect going in, because Kyle had only asked for a projector and screen. The presentation began with adorable photos of the couple as children, all set to music. But as the slideshow progressed, guests began to laugh as they noticed that some of the photos included a photoshopped image of actor Jeff Goldblum. No one was sure where this was going—until the slideshow ended with a personalized message from Jeff Goldblum himself!
After that amazing and unexpected speech and presentation, Emily’s brothers sang a custom song about Emily set to the tune of the Beatles’ “Let It Be,” and they brought the house down!
Emily & Colin, you are so very special together and clearly have a ton of friends and family that love you dearly. I'm thrilled that I was able to be there to capture it all for you. Congratulations!
