Stephanie and Sam were engaged in October and married in January. They knew from the moment they got engaged that they wanted a short engagement. Stephanie, with the help from her parents and Sam's parents, pulled everything together beautifully! Stephanie's family is from Taiwan and Sam's Mother is from Pishan in China, so they incorporated two separate tea ceremonies into their day, starting with the tea ceremony at Stephanie's parents home. Afterwards, we traveled to Sam's parents home to do another tea ceremony with his family.
Next we were off to High Rock Church in Arlington, Massachusetts. Stephanie put on her western dress there, surrounded by her bridesmaids. Stephanie and Sam had a very special first look alone in the sanctuary at High Rock. They were both so excited to see each other!
Stephanie was walked down the aisle by both her Mom and Dad. There was so much laughter and a few tears throughout their ceremony, but the best part is when the newlyweds danced back down the aisle together!
The day of their wedding, there just happened to be a huge blizzard in the Boston area. We were limited to staying indoors for all of the portraits, but High Rock provided an amazing backdrop. We utilized the stained glass, the pews and even some window light in one of the classrooms.
The last stop was Joyful Garden in Brighton, Massachusetts, where the couple and their friends and family had a huge traditional Chinese celebratory banquet. Stephanie and Sam were announced into the room and still did a first dance, where Stephanie got choked up a little.
Congratulations Stephanie and Sam!! xoxo
