I started the day with Kelly and her bridesmaids at the Marriott Copley Hotel in Boston, while she was getting the final touches on her hair and makeup. Patrick came and met us at the hotel, where he and Kelly then had their first look. It was an emotional moment for Kelly as she walked down the steps, and you could tell that Patrick was equally as excited. We stole a few moments just outside the hotel for a quick portrait of the two of them before heading over to Alden Castle.
The weather wasn't looking good, but Kelly and Patrick agreed to attempt some portraits at the park across the street from the church. Just as we were finishing up, the skies decided to let loose the rain they had been threatening all day.
The historic church, which is just around the corner from Alden Castle, is absolutely gorgeous. The brightly tiled wall behind the altar created a beautiful backdrop for Kelly and Patrick’s ceremony. The rain stopped by the time the service was over, so we walked back to Alden Castle, stopping at the T-stop along the way for a few more nighttime portraits on the platform.
My favorite moment during the reception was Kelly and Patrick's entrance—they both wore football jerseys from different teams (which they took off before their first dance). I also loved Kelly's genuine reaction to her father's moving speech. Overall, it was a great time!
Kelly and Patrick, it was so fun to work with you both! Congratulations, and I wish you both many years of happiness!
