The State Room Wedding Photographer | Longwood Events, Boston | Laura + Tait

Laura and Tait were married at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, with their reception following at The State Room in Boston this November. This wedding had so much goodness packed into one day it was crazy. I started the day with Laura at The Boston Harbor Hotel to photograph her getting ready. When I saw her Oscar De La Renta wedding dress, I almost died. Full of feathers and lace, I hadn't seen anything else like it!

Laura's Dad's reaction below was so sweet and authentic. He peeked around the corner a couple of times before actually entering the room with his jaw dropped, which quickly changed to a smile from ear to ear.

My second photographer, Jennifer Belkus Goolkasian, captured these great details of Tait getting ready.

I love this casual shot of the boys in front of the church that Jennifer captured!

The Cathedral of the Holy Cross is one of the most stunning and grand churches in Boston.

An early November wedding with a ceremony that starts after 5, means bride and groom portraits in the dark. Fanueil Hall had their trees

covered in Christmas lights already. The twinkling lights make it all pretty in the background!

When I walked into The State Room, I was blown away for the second (maybe third or fourth) time that day. The beautiful flower centerpieces

by Domco Floral Designer and the lighting by Suzanne Lowell Lighting were both fabulous. The cake even sat atop a linen full of feathers from

Table Toppers.

For the first dance, Laura and Tait started out traditional...

...but had some fun with it too!

Laura's dad is awesome. There I said it. He not only busted out his best dance moves during the first dance, but he wowed the crowd later with a special performance, which you'll see if you keep reading!

Laura and Tait's best friends and some family members put together a book of songs, memories, and photos for the couple, and then performed many of those songs. The songs were amazing and filled with stories from each of their lives. Elvis (this is Laura's Dad) even made an appearance to start off the festivities!

Laura and Tait, it's obvious how much you love each other, and how much you are both loved by your friends and family. I had so much fun photographing your wedding! Congratulations!

Thanks again to my amazing second photographer for the day, Jennifer Belkus Goolkasian! And a big shout out to all the vendors who made this an amazing day.
